Ships Stern Circuit (Lamington National Park)

The views are fantastic. The walking trail is in great condition. I would recommend good hiking shoes not runners etc. I also recommend doing the circuit anticlockwise it is a much nicer way to go. Take advantage of the great lookouts. Bring lots of water and some food, hat and sunscreen for the top of ships stern as can get very hot on a sunny day. I am a slow/average pace walker with short legs and I stopped lots to take photos and admire the views and it took me 5hrs.
Mt Warning Summit Trail (Wollumbin National Park)

Great walk, the track is very rocky and you are constantly having to gauge your step. The views are spectacular. The many steps at the beginning and end when coming back down are the worst part. Bring lots of water and good hiking shoes. If you sweat a lot like me bring a change of clothes, I was so wet it was like I jumped in the river. if you go early in the morning and are wanting to spend some time up the top bring a jumper as it is quite cold especially when you are wet with sweat. I didn't do it but I have heard the sunrise is the wonderful from the top. You will have to leave the base around 2-3am to get to the top in time depending on how fast you can go in the dark. Bring head lamp or torch.
