A very enjoyable walk with enough shade for even a hot day. Dogs are not allowed through the wetland section but you could probably bypass that if you needed to. Lovely day trip with a cooling swim at the end.

The walk down to the gorge and back up isn’t that hard although it is uphill on the way back and very very hot this summer. The rock hopping in the gorge if you follow the footprints is challenging but great fun and simply gorgeous. Water levels were low and you had to swim through a lot of moss and algae to get to a clear waterhole so we didn’t swim.

This was a really lovely walk and provided good views across the ocean from multiple vantage points around the island. Great day ending with a swim and lunch from the cafe.

Walked this track last year. There are some magnificent views of the lake from a number of angles and some decent hills to get the heart rate going. There were sections that were very hot though and we did get an early start so I would not recommend doing in summer and if you do taking plenty of water.

This is a really lovely part of Moreton Bay. Fantastic walk in Spring when the weather isn’t too hot.

Great alternative to the tunnel track with a bit more exercise and a slightly longer walk. Stick to the track that is suitable for horses and you can’t go wrong. We got slightly lost by not sticking to the suitable for horses track but regained the main track after a scramble up hill.
Gold Creek Reservoir (South East Queensland)

This was a lovely walk. Nice length, enough hills to get the heart started and great views of the dam at the beginning and end. We did take a wrong turn and head up a very steep fire trail for a while walking anticlockwise but corrected after less than a km.
