This track is used by the Crater Lake Circuit but is still worthwhile as a shorter walk that has great views of Lake Lilla and Wombat Pool. There is a moderate amount of steps so a decent level of fitness is required.

Getting there
Accessible by car but parking is limited. Follow the road signs to Cradle Mountain then catch the bus into the park from the Information Centre. Buses depart every 15 minutes, 7 days a week.
Route/Trail notes
Start from the Dove Lake carpark. Head towards the lake and turn right towards the boatshed. Take the first turnoff towards Lake Lilla and Crater Lake. The Wombat Pool track branches off to the left approximately 500m along this track. Once you reach Wombat Pool return the way you came.
Permits/Costs
A National Parks Pass is required for all walks at Cradle Mountain.
