Starting where the 4wd track starts to get particularly dicey as it begins the last drop to the Severn River follow the 4wd track down to the river which you will cross and follow down stream (this will be one of a few river crossings you will need to complete if the water level is high enough). Once you reach the circuit part of the walk this is where you will come across the main features of the walk. Described anti-clockwise you will first head up a steep section to a saddle which has a worthwhile detour to 'Hell Hole Peak' the small knoll that sits above the bend in the river and offers great views to the North and East. Then you descend to The Hell Hole a waterhole in the river and follow the river around to beneath the Rats Castle where you will cross the river and close the loop crossing the river once more before returning the way you came.

Mt. Vesuvius is a very historical active volcano, being the volcano that destroyed Pompeii and also being the battle ground for Spartacus against the Romans. The views up Mt. Vesiusvius are pretty epic and is really worth the hike.

Mt. Rysy is the tallest mountain in Poland. The hike takes you across some stunning alpine area and some amazing alpine lakes near the border of Slovakia. Be warned that this a very long hike that is gruelling and demanding. It requires some scrambling near the top that is not for the faint-hearted. But the views are wroth the effort and none of the scrambling is particularly complex. There are chains to guide you.
This hike can also be done from the Slovakian side which apparently easier.

Rated by the Singaporean government as the most difficult hike in the entire country, The MacRitchie Reservoir loop is surprisingly easy, with no elevation gains. The only thing is distance. Along the path you can see wild monkeys (a lot of wild monkeys), snakes, big lizards and unique birds. While the track through the jungle is great, the real highlight is the variety of wildlife that seems to be just everywhere that you look.
