Very short, easy walk. Just off the road so it’s very accessible. Informative sign at the bottom. You can’t go in to the tunnel though, but you can learn a bit about the history.

Encompassing the picturesque Railway Dam, this leisurely walk is a must for enthusiast of the Australian bush. The 14 hectare gardens showcase eleven vegetation communities local to the Roma region, including Brigalow, Coolibah and Mulga. The walk offers a great variety of different vistas of the dam, which is also regarded as a first-rate place for bird-watching. Read about the native plants through the interpretive panels as you navigate the loop.

An easy 15 minute walk to the lookout at the top of this narrow gorge offers spectacular views. However, some difficult climbing and scrambling over rocks is required to continue to the Rockhole, wading or swimming may be required after rains. The alternative option is to return along the same track to the carpark.

This walk offers good views and interesting geological sites. The spectacular folding you can see in the rock faces along this walk were created in the upheaval stage, when the soft bitter springs rock was twisted and folded by powerful earth movements.
