This walk features lush rainforest with towering trees emerging through the canopy and at the falls, eucalypt forest. It follows Sandy Creek out to the western lookout of Cameron Falls, where on a clear day you can enjoy views across the valley to Mount Flinders and the southern suburbs of Brisbane.

This Track travels close to steep cliff edges, so stay on the designated track and behind the fences.

The falls are aligned such that under the correct conditions a rainbow will appear. It has been seen in the afternoon in late July.

Access to this section is on the left towards the top of Knoll Road. There is a parking area with toilets, picnic tables and BBQ.

Route/Trail Notes:

To start the track. From the car park continue along the track/pathway (through the park facilities) there should be a split in the track, left is towards the start of the track, right/forward is towards a North facing lookout.

Track details: A well defined track through the rainforest will take you down to Sandy Creek. Once at the creek the circuit begins taking you to the ridge of the mountain. a 100m detour will bring you to the lookout where you can see Cameron Falls. From the lookout it's all uphill to finish the circuit.

Did this walk on the weekend. Well worth it! Quite easy and excellent walk. Top of carpark has nice picnic area and great views of the valley below.The track leads down to the bottom of the gully where the circuit starts (we went clockwise) don’t think there’s any advantage either way. The track follows the creek and eventually moves away as you approach the 90m Cameron Falls lookout side track to the left. The track to the lookout and the falls is slightly overgrown mostly grass. The return track follows the other bank of the creek and generally follows a higher line above the creek

Nice easy walk, the guide says 2.7km however the track guide at the start says 2.4km and my phone app said 2.4km as well and only took 45 mins and not the advertised 75 and we did stop for a few photos on the way. Interesting to see how much Yarrabilba has expanded from the lookouts though.

Easy walk with lots of shade. Nice creek crossings and a bit of rock hopping at the top of the falls. Picnic grounds and toilets at the carpark

A very easy walk for the whole family to enjoy. It’s a pretty walk but not a lot for us photographers to snap.

Nice easy track. Walked very early in the morning and passed only 1 other person. Falls not a big as I've seen previously there due to lack if rain. View at lookout was amazing. We could see Brisbane city in the distance. We saw lots of bird life, fungus, insects and even a koala. There is also a large lace monitor in the park at the start if the lookout who approaches quite close.

This is a great family walk with lots to see. There is also a fair amount of room and facilities for BBQ's and picnics. have had many family days with young kids here and they have all been great.

This was the first of eight Tamborine Mountain walks we accomplished over two days with the children (Oh, plus the Glow Worms and the Thunder Eggs!). This walk had an abundance of wildlife, with loads of skinks, birds life, a Funnel Web Spider nest and even a cane toad. A creek with boulders to scramble over and the falls at the end.
Lots to entertain the kids and was the best and most interesting walk of the weekend.

Very hot walk on a 35*C day. It was great to dip our feet into the falls until we noticed the hoardes of leeches. I've had bad luck with these critter lately. Ick!

Beautiful walk, we did it easily with babe on my back. The bird calls through the forest are enchanting and the views magnificent.

Was a lovely walk, nice and cool in the rainforest. Was a little disappointed in the falls, but we will hike again when there is more waterfall.

The picnic area at the top is particularly pretty with a lookout. Part of the circuit is closed. There is access to Cameron Falls but you then have to back-track to get back to the carpark. Not a lot of water going over the falls, but it's certainly not dry.

Easy walk as described. BBQ's, shelters, toilets and good views at the start of the walk. Nice spot to break for lunch and continue with other walks in the area.
