Getting there:

Off the Bruce Highway at Nerang on the Gold Coast take the Nerang Murwillumbah Road. Signposted after the dam take a left onto Pine Creek Road and left again onto Springbrook Road that leads you up onto and across the plateau to the various lookouts and walks.

This walk starts from either the Tallanbana picnic area or Canyon Lookout.

Springbrook National Park

Route/Trail notes:

The track is easy to follow but steep in places and can be completed in either direction although anti-clockwise is recommended. There are two junctions where the Warrie Circuit meets this circuit, one near Twin Falls and the other at the base of Blackfellow Falls, but both are well signposted.

Permits/Costs:

None.

Other References/Comments:

The area is very busy particularly at weekends and parking can therefore be a problem.

If you can, visit local information centre a couple kms from Canyon Lookout. I believe it was once the original schoolhouse.

A cooling swim and a picnic at Twin Falls is well worth the effort of the walk down.

Our favourite walk. We do this often with the kids (4 kids aged 5,6,7,8) as there are plenty of points of interest. Multiple waterfalls, caves and stunning scenery. A movie should be filmed here!

Very enjoyable, as was coffee and cake in the Sitting Room afterwards.

Super busy hiking on the weekend and difficult to get a car park. Circuit should really be one way during Covid 19 to avoid closely passing so many people. Otherwise was a really nice walk, waterfalls were rushing.

Beautiful walk with stunning waterfalls

Great easy/exciting walk. Waterfalls still flowing nicely (at both locations). From which you can walk behind them both too (without the wind you don't really get wet). Got to mention those caves/overhanging rock faces are also pretty cool too. Something exciting to see every few hundred metres.

Leisurely stroll, good photos from all the waterfalls, couple side paths, couldn't see one of the paths listed on maps but easily navigatable.

Beautiful one of my favourite walks

Beautiful little hike, our favourite with the 2 5 yo kids. It's relatively easy for them. 5k is a good distance. It's safe too - not many opportunities to do anything silly. The waterfall is usually packed but beautiful;)
I go there often when I don't feel like exploring something new on the weekend.
Little cafe at the top - but twice it was closed so check before leaving if that's important to you

Easy walk with good spots to explore like the rock caves and water fall walk behinds. Around 4km walk relatively short and easy going, the day went went was after heavy rain so the waterfalls were spectacular

Beautiful walk, went early in the morning while it was nice and quiet. Lots to see, and the falls at the bottom are terrific.

Finally the rains are here! Waterfalls at its best, doesn’t matter that we got a shower as well.
