This walk begins off downhill, soon there are some views of the reservoir then the track begins to wind its way along the edge of the reservoir keep an eye out for different water birds.

I would advise taking you camera equipment as well as a pair of binoculars for some good bird watching. After approx 1.7km you come to a Y junction go straight ahead and some more views of the Enoggera weir come into sight. There seems to be alot of bellbirds and a few whipbirds around here.

From here the track winds into some bush some small reminent of rainforest. And from here it gets a bit "are we there, yet" but keep on going up and over the ridge and back down again and you rejoin back at the Y junction.

Now the return route can be a little problem if you leave it late to do this walk because on your return from the Y junction. You will meet alot of people along the way.

Some signs have been errected "brown snakes" in the area. So watch your step when walking around the exposed hot ridge areas.

Also this track can be combined with the Corymbia Circuit to add a bit of distance for you walk.

Great trail and an easy drive from Brisbane. Recommend doing in the afternoon as you will be in the shade.

Very pretty area. This walk is completely flat and paved most of the way. Lots of birds, lizards, turtles. Great walk for kids. Can go for a swim afterwards too.

Quite a beautiful little place. Lots of bird life e.g blue billed wood ducks, red backed fairy wrens, whip birds, bell birds, water hens, Rufus fan tails, zebra finches and other birds I couldn't identify. Little guys took two hours to walk the track.

This is a really simple walk. I used this to introduce my daughter to bushwalking (at 5 years old we did it in around 50mins).

Keep an eye out for turtles 🐢 about 500-750m into the walk on the edges.

I love this walk and have done it many times. Lovely mostly flat walk around part of the dam

Bobbe on Jan, 2016

Very easy walk. Took 90mins with a toddler getting in and out of carrier. Very busy on the weekends. Second part of trail where it loops back and away from the water is much nicer and feels more remote

A very pleasant and easy walk by the reservoir. Some section of the tracks are muddy. There were many wildlife, including water dragon, black snakes and frog. I got to hear the beautiful sound from bell miner birds.

Nice walk, quite scenic around the lake. Ran into a large goanna on the track that was just ambling along, not at all interested in darting for the nearest tree. Got plenty of close up photos. Also saw a green tree snake on the bridge on the way back. Walked in the middle of the day and came across a couple of other groups of walkers/birdwatchers.

Grumps on 10 Feb, 2014

Went in the middle of the day and it was quiet. I was the only person there. Track was under water in a few parts, but with obvious detours. Lights of wildlife! I had run ins with lots of snakes, goannas and birds. Very nice for so close to brisbane
