Route/Trail notes

This track includes 1,700 stone steps and provides fantastic views as you follow the path to the Mount Louisa Lookout.  About 100m from the start, you reach the first set of steps, the track contains steep grades, loose surfaces and uneven steps.  The first km is a combination of steps, trail and a gentle downhill section.  At the 1km mark, you get to choose whether to take the 650m stair climb (high intensity) to the lookout at the summit, or continue the circuit trail for 1.7km to the lookout.  There is minimal infrastructure (no toilet facilities), however there are seats along the trail to take in the views, and interpretive signage with some of the recent history of the local area.  Dogs on lead are permitted.
