This is a short and spectacular walk that is pretty easy if you are fit. I'm 64 and I ran up all the stairs to the summit to have it to myself! It is a busy walk that is heavily promoted in the main streets of Hamilton Island. Well worth it, even for unfit people.
A nice easy walk along a very well maintainted track with lots of little lookouts and picnic areas along the way. It is quite a gradual ascent with some stairs and no scrambling sections. The view at the top is absolutely fantastic, possibly even better than Whitsunday Peak because you can see out in every direction. It is a very popular hike so expect to see a lot of people.
Navigation to some bushwalks can be difficult. Automated navigation using Google Maps or Apple Maps may not be accurate.
Additionally, Aussie Bushwalking doesn't always have accurate positions for where to park for a walk.
Please read the walk description for special directions and take extra care.
