Nice little walk. We went onto it from the powerful owl circuit but went left not right (down an umarked trail which was pretty cool. It had a rusty old car in it)... so we did a fairly large detour before doubling back to it and then continued on to Simpson's fall..
I definitely recommend a well stocked pack as there are so many little side trails you could explore all day.

Nice easy track - nothing really left to see of the mines but cool to know about the work that used to go on here.

Nice easy walk with short notes on Brisbane's gold mining history. Trail is easy and in good condition.
