Highfields / Toowoomba

Route/Trail notes:

Easy walk that leads down first to the top of the falls then a bit further to the base of the falls.. the route down crossed the feeder creek via a pave section. It could be wet under water after some rain. Although alternate route will take you to the falls. There’s a few sets of stone stairs.

The track to the base of the falls had a fallen tree crossing the path... not difficult to climb over.

Lovely little walk down to the falls. I didn’t expect it to be flowing given there hasn’t been any significant rain for months but definitely a flow happening.

Very enjoyable walk on an overcast day. Green and cool. Signs a bit confusing but I just kept going for 45 minutes.

There are a number of walks in this area. There isn't meant to be a path from the top to the bottoms of the falls but lots of people have gone off path and created a goat track which then leads to other tracks (maybe animal tracks or more wandering people). The Bowerbird walk is meant to get you to the bottom of the falls and and the Cuckoo-Dove walk takes you to the top. The main tracks are very well maintained, but occasionally the signage is confusing.

Lots of small circuits, all easy walking, pebbled paths. Pretty after some rain has greened it up and there's a little bit of water on the falls.

OH MY GOODNESS - WOW! Aussie bush at its best! An easy trail with wide paths! I found the signage a bit confusing (there were multiple little circuits) but it was all one big circuit so I knew I'd eventually get back to my car. TOTALLY WORTH DOING!

Did the walk today very easy .. it’s open eucalyptus forest. Very dry at the moment but the creek was still flowing and small water fall present
