Salvator Rosa

Carnarvon National Park

Spy glass peak and surrounding sandstone features make this walk very interesting for photography. The natural wall near the peak appears as if man made.

Getting there

How do you get to the start of the walk? you have to drive to the other end of carnarvon nat park to the camping area it is recommended a 4wd vehicle is needed ..especially  if wet but in dry weather a normal sedan should get into the park. There are several kms of dirt.

Route/Trail notes

A detailed description of the walk! the walk is sandy with one fresh water crossing some rock climbing skills are required if assending up the peak. Can be slippery from rock falls. You can drive there but a 4wd is essential.

Permits/Costs

Normal qld nat park costs. There is a good camping ground with fresh running water which we used but should be boiled.
