Well worth the half hour drive there. A lot bigger than I was expecting and had some cool views of the river. Recommend cooler times of the day if you’re with your pup as it is quite hot in the open areas.

Great walk and dog friendly. Half way is a basic lookout above the quarry and the Brisbane River. Follow the path down to the river and have a read about the old basalt quarry. You’ll also find rusted machinery and an old foundation. I recommend this short, shaded walk.

This place contains many tracks all fairly flat except heading down to the river. There is a nice lookout too. Good for early morning bird watching too. Some inconsiderate people bring their dogs off-lead here. I was accosted by two dogs from separate owners today 😒 It's not an off-lead park.
