Bindegolly National Park

Darling Downs South West

This is only a good walk when there's actually water in the Lake. The lake does dry up making for a sandy experience. When full with water it should be an amazing experience as it attracts various wildlife. Ideal for birdwatching with a bird viewing site 4.5 km from car park

Whereis , Google Maps , but out there there's just 1 bitumen road connecting those towns so you can't miss it

Route/Trail notes

Quite a soft sandy track , fairly easy no hills or anything with a good chance of spotting some roos , snakes and when water in lake plenty birds. Also cattle runs in the park !

Comments

Did this (stupidly) enough in December , so a little warm and the lake was bone dry. Bit of a disappointment. Best to do this when cooler weather and preferable water in lake. Had a very big roo coming up to check me out at one stage.
