Camping Permitted

Getting there

From Amamoor, travel along Amamoor Creek Road towards Amamoor State Forest. Eventually there'll be a right turn to Cedar Grove Camping Area, where the walk starts. Side note; the last 3~4km is gravel road, seems to be well maintained for conventional vehicle.

See Qld Gov Parks and Forest map:

Route/Trail notes

This is a circuit starting and ending in the camping area. There is also a mid point entry if you want to only do half the walk. Going clockwise, you start imediately near the creek, then entering the rainforest. A couple hundred metres in starts Cedar Grove (longer circuit). Continuing on, there is a small trail off to the left going down the another swiming spot in the creek. Back up to the track and then not long till you're back at the camp area.

Camping is permitted at the camping area. See QLD Gov state forest to book a camping permit.

Nice morning walk before everyone in the campgrounds woke up. Found another spot to have a swim in the creek around half way along the track (which there is a shortcut to the campgrounds). If you're camping here you might as well go for the stroll.
