This rainforest walk with interpretive signage takes you along Amamoor Creek and up Skyring Creek to the creek crossing whilst pointing out the wild Macadamia trees along the way.

Getting there:

From Amamoor travel along Amamoor Creek Road towards Amamoor State Forest. Just inside the State Forest is the Amama Day Use Area on your left where you park in the second car park.

Route/Trail notes:

From the back of the car park, walk down to the Amamoor Creek and along the pathway back towards the first car park. Walk up through that car park and across the road to join the main signposted path that takes you up as far as the Skyring Creek crossing.

Return by the same route.

Camping permit required if staying over at Cedar Grove or Amamoor Creek (fees apply).

There are numerous walks in the area including Cedar Grove Hiking Trail, Amamoor Creek Hiking Trail, Amama Walk (Cascades) and Amamoor State Forest Lookout (Fire Tower).

Comments

An easy starter for ‘four’, as there are a number of interesting walks that start from the Amama Day Use area.
