Cape Irozaki Lighthouse Track 石廊崎 (Shizuoka Prefecture)

Cape Irozaki is part of the Fuji-Izu-Hakone national park and has some of the best views of the Izu coast. It is the most southern point of the Izu Peninsula.

Getting there

To begin the hike, either take public transport or drive to the Cape Irozaki carpark. 

Note that parking is 500 yen.

Route/Trail notes

From the carpark, walk past the gift shop and along a paved footpath/road. Continue along this road until you reach the lighthouse. If you are lucky, the lighthouse will be open and you climb into it. If it isn't, continue along the rocky path in front of the lighthouse. This path is narrow and will take you down the cape itself. Pretty cool views. 

Same route back.
