Waterfall to Heathcote

New South Wales
Many walks are currently closed due to COVID-19. Please,
  • check the walk's official website to confirm if the track is open

This walk explores the heart of Heathcote National Park, and is easily accessed with a train station at either end. Although relatively close to the start of the walk, Kingfisher Pool, next to Heathcote Creek, is a great spot to break and enjoy the park. Mirang Pool, at the northern end, also offers an opportunity to cool down before the last walk up the hill.

An alternative option is Waterfall to Engadine, which goes past the spectacular "Olympic Pool": https://hikingtheworld.blog/2019/04/22/waterfall-to-engadine/

Very poor signage, got lost once. Most junctions are not signed. You can follow the yellow arrows for the first part of the walk up to Kingfisher Pool. Most of the track is very overgrown, expect scratches if you don't wear long sleeve shirt and pants. There is also not much to see. I'd give this one a miss.
