De Burghs Bridge to Fullers Bridge

Greater Sydney

This walk follows the Lane Cove River northside, this walk mostly follows a section of the Great North Walk. Things to lookout for include Fiddens Wharf, Baker's Cottage, Blue Hole and Sandstone Caves.

Getting there

Start at Cnr of Delhi Rd and River Ave, NORTH RYDE (there are busstop 205766 is here).  Make you way north to Lane Cove Weir, cross the weir then head west following the signs towards Heritage Walk, Bakers Cottage and Blue Hole.  Continuing on the path you will reach the sandstone caves.  Continuing along you will reach a junction Terrace Rd (don't go up there) keep following the Great Northern Walk signs, until you reach the De Burghs Bridge part of Lane Cove Rd.  Once you are on the bridge turn left (downhill) and walk ~500m to arrive at Macquarie Park Train Station

Great walk, heaps to see. They need clearer signage. The sandstone caves are awesome. Great place for a picnic. My camera died so I couldn't take photos :-(
