Cattai Wetlands Loop

Cattai Wetlands was once farmland suffering from the effects of land clearing, but was purchased by council with a view to restoring the ecosystem to what it should be. This is a walk around the wetland.

Getting there

Turn off the Pacific Highway north of the Harrington Turnoff, before Taree onto Spring Hill Rd and follow to Cattai Wetlands.

Follow the path in a clockwise direction.  There is a brochure available, at local information places, as well as at the Wetlands.  This gives detail on a number of things to take note of along the walk as well as a map

We loved this Wetland. We didn't see too many birds, but the water lilies on the lake were just superb.
