Amazing sand blow. Always on the move, covering your footprints and building up new shapes and forms.

Did this as a part of the Great Walk. Campsite 3 and the Sandpatch are both great destinations :)

Great walk with amazing views at the end

A great 12km hike that is well worth the effort. The entire walk is on sand with a steady gradient to the top but not difficult. The walk can be completed in 3 hours and the sand patch is work the walk. The views from the top are spectacular too. Not thickly shaded so take plenty of water if walking this in summer. There are toilets and picnic tables at campsite 3. Campsite 3 (the starting point) is approximately a 1.5 hour paddle from Harry's Hut.
Navigation to some bushwalks can be difficult. Automated navigation using Google Maps or Apple Maps may not be accurate. Additionally, Aussie Bushwalking doesn't always have accurate positions for where to park for a walk.
Please read the walk description for special directions and take extra care.
