Glastonbury Creek to Point Pure

Brooyar State Forest

A 4.3km(one way) walk along the road to point pure lookout from the camp ground. Very uphill on the way to the lookout.
It travels along the 4WD track so the path is quite smooth to walk, although a bit steep. It is a bit exposed in places so sun protection is a must.

Getting there:

The Brooyar State Forest map page from the link below shows three access points. From the south turning off the Gympie Woolooga Road onto Diggins Road that becomes Greendale Road and signposted right into the Glastonbury Creek Camping Area, where there is ample parking.

From the north off the Wide Bay Highway onto Petersen Road or further along onto Reid Road, again signposted at the junctions.

All these roads are unsealed and can be driven by 2WD vehicles, but a 4WD is recommended.

The start of the walk is the Glastonbury Creek Campground.

Comments

Not the most interesting bushwalk, as it follows the road. The views are quite something.
It took me 2h5m to complete and I am obese and out of shape. A single car passed us. Lots of bird life.
