Melaleuca Trail, Jowarra Section

Sunshine Coast

This is part of the Jowarra Section of the Mooloolah River a separate section of this park to be accessed via the Steve Irwin Way off the Bruce Hwy ( caloundra off ramp ) turn right at traffic lights into the Information Centre Car park ( there's also Daisy's Restaurant ) in the middle of the car park you will find the entrance of park leading to both walks.

Getting there

Either via the Littoralis trail, entrance Kawana Way, or via Aemula and Boronia trail if you walk all 4 trails which i recommend . Then as with the other here via Claymore Rd (details as per Boronia Trail listing)

 

Route/Trail notes

Nicely appointed gravel path leading through a rainforest with plenty of Palms , Vines and gumtrees. A few benches along the way to enjoy the scenery and birdlife

This was the last of the connecting trails that we followed today, before re-joining the Boronia Track and taking it back to the carpark. It was a really hot day, and we were glad to have carried water.

Did this in combination the the river ciruit making for a 2km walk. Nice and easy just be aware you can hear the traffic on the Steve Irwin Way....perhaps nicer when early morning......

Walk till end returned same way , back on to Aemula trail to Littoralis , follow that through to Boronia simply follow back to car park.
