Route/Trail notes:

From the east or west gate at either end of the car park, follow the track towards the hill. There are a number of tracks that lead off the main track, which all lead to the top. At the top there are a number of rocky outcrops the children love to climb. From the top you can view the different tracks around the mountain that can lead you back to your car.

What a great length and type of walk to do with our 2-year-old! The trail is rocky enough to provide interest and a feel of adventure, but not ever being too tiring. Even the reluctant 11-year-old whi would rather be looking to screen found this an enjoyable, picturesque walk.

Good views from the top & much quieter than Mt Coolum

The mountain is very low but the view is much better than what you might expect. A lot less crowded than mount coolum.

Thomas M on 2 May, 2020

Very easy walk, took about 10 minutes to reach summit. Nice views of the surrounding areas still.

Hello, i want to know if in this track we arrive to the Peregina beach, which is called The Ocean Beach walk

Easiest mountain hike I have done. Much more bushland in the view than Mt Coolum 3km away. Multiple places you can stand so you get a view of everything. It got its nickname due to the emus that lived up here. I post photos of my hikes to instagram.com/spring_beans and I am based in the Sunshine Coast :)

Hannah MC on 14 Feb, 2019

Great short walk. Interesting bushland. No emus anymore unfortunately.

Really easy walk and several good spots to make photos

Alex on 22 Sep, 2018

A short walk but with impressive views both north and south. Only 10 minute walk to the summit so nowhere near the 1 hour return walk as suggested.
