Buderim Forest Park

Sunshine Coast

This is a 45 hectare secluded oasis, hidden on the northern side of Buderim, less than a kilometre from the Buderim Village. This is a rainforest world of tall trees, ferns, babbling waterfalls, cascades and bird calls.
The area was purchased many years ago by the Council as a reserve for all of Buderim.
Amazingly much of the creek actually belongs to private land owners as once did the waterfall! The falls were a favourite recreational place for the region’s indigenous people and have been unofficially named “Serenity Falls”, but are widely known as the Buderim Falls.

Getting there

Two ways of getting there. One is behind Harry's Restaurant on Harry's Lane just of Lindsay Road, the other from the top of Quorn Close, which is also off Lindsay Road, but farther south. Car parks and picnic area are provided at both ends.

Maps:

Buderim Forest Park

Route/Trail notes:

From Harry's lane, follow the walkway along the course of Martins Creek. From Quorn Close car park it is medium to steep track down to the waterfall; splendid after a couple days of rain.

Permits/Costs:

None.

Other References/Comments:

Paths and boulders can be very slippery after rain. Always take your swimmers, as you can swim in the refreshing waters of the pool below the waterfall. Gets very busy in summer.

Comments

Not sure why this walk is stated at 90 minutes because its actually a very short circuit. We ran around twice! Very pretty falls and nice walking down around them. Highly recommend.

Stunning walk, beautiful swimming hole.

xxxNickyxxx on 25 Apr, 2019

lovely walk if you do the circuit rather than straight
down to the falls

Great and easy walk. Better when it isn’t crowded.

Cute little walk with jungle vibes right in the heart of Buderim.

Stunning short walk. Serenity falls is beautiful. Saw people walking back in bathers so I assume people swim here. I just did the circuit and walked down to the falls to take a few snaps.

Fantastic walk. We went on Mother’s Day and what a great vibe!
Everyone was saying “Happy Mother’s Day” to each other.
The waterfall is lovely and it would be awesome to have a dip in the lagoon when it gets warmer.

Beautiful walk from Harry's Hut with different terrains such paths, bridges, rocks, had to cross the water at on stage. Serenity Falls has its name for a good reason. Will be a regular on my list

A couple of the bridges have been washed away after the recent storms. The track was closed but many people still went up to the falls. The track to the falls is open from Quorn Close. A really nice and short walk, suitable for little legs. Deafening cicadas!!!

It was a very hot day, so a friend and I came here and went for a swim, it was absolutely beautiful

Ashley Scott on 25 Dec, 2017

Best visited after some heavy rain so the waterfall is actually more than just a trickle. Lots of mozzies though...

Lovely forest walk and mini waterfall. It doesn't have a lot of information about species etc which would be good.

An easy walk through some beautiful rainforest. The falls are worth the trip. Rocks can be very slippery in the rain so be careful. Bring some swimmers and a picnic. Very popular!

We went there to photograph the falls. It's amazing how many people are there even on a Wednesday. It must be so crowded on the weekend. It is a great spot though.

Nice walk , if you enjoy rainforest.

Mick+Caity on 7 Feb, 2017

Took the Harry's entrance. Easy walk and gorgeous cool clear water which we swam in.

Really beautiful waterfall and streams surrounded with a rainforest. I will recommend this to all families.

Great little walk. Heaps of families. There's plenty of cascades and waterfalls to see. The swimming hole has an impressive waterfall.

rob.bushman on 25 Apr, 2015

Nice short walk best viewed just after rain, or DURING the rain to snap photos without copious amounts of swimmers :P
