Getting there:

Head for Mapleton and turn into Obi Obi Road and then turn right (signposted) into Delicia Road. Follow this for 2km and you will see a small car park on your right, which is also an access point for the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk.

Route/Trail notes:

Head out on the Great Walk route and after 50m, turn right onto the Linda Garrett Circuit that, when you re-hit the Great Walk route, turn left back to the car park.

Completed this as part of the Sunshine Coast Great Walk. Day 2 is easier than day one with less uphill walking and drier forest which meant you didn’t have to watch your step as much.

I thought that I would spend the day in Mapleton National Park with the objective of finding the easiest route into Gheerulla Falls and what I found was a whole series of walk I had never hear of. The first was this very basic short walk, which was pretty uninspiring.
