Find the Sign on the southern end of the beach carpark. Follow the Trail

Route/Trail description

Slightly uphill with some stairs cut into the rocks. Very beautiful view of the bay from the top

Beautiful walk. Midday is far too hot in January. Am looking forward to returning at a more appropriate time for the full headland walk

This is a must-do walk for everyone!! The easy walk takes you to some spectacular views and if you branch off the track you can walk to Murray bay as well, which is well worth the effort! It's enjoyable the whole way along!!

Actually did the complete Cape Edgecumbe walking trail which started in Horseshoe Bay and went for about 2.5kms. Fairly solid elevation but great views over Bowen and surrounds. Really enjoyed this one.

I did this walk a few times while I was working in Bowen - it was awesome!

Very easy to get to and stunning views at the end. Add a walk to Rose Bay or Murray Bay from here and return the same way (or via the road) and it is quite a nice invigorating walk.
