Route/Trail notes

Head through the Burton Street Tunnel (Markets are hosted in here every 2nd Sunday of the month), you will see signs to Cahill Walk/Harbour Bridge follow these.  You will reach a set of stairs leading to the bridge.  Once on the bridge continue following the express way, at the end of the bridge you will come across a section where there is a set of stairs going up and another set going down.  Take the set going up.  Continue following the Cahill Expressway, you will see great views of Circular Quay including both Opera House and Harbour Bridge.  Continue along the path until you see a sign pointing to the Botanic Gardens, follow this and you have completed the walk.

Permits/Costs

Free.  Please note this is not the BridgeClimb.  This walks across the bridge (it's flat footpath), it does not climb the arch.

Good walk for the afternoon. I recommend once crossing the bridge do a detour to Observatory Park by walking down the stairs and through tunnel. Awesome views of the harbour.
