Oxley Walk via Apsley Gorge Rim

An easy out & back walk with scenic views of waterfalls and rugged ravines. It allows for you to get a better glimpse of the main falls & also offers viewing platforms of the landslide just a short distance from the main falls.

Getting there

Apsley falls is found just off of the Oxley Highway in the Nothern Tablelands of NSW. To get there, follow the Oxley Highway from either Walcha or Port Macquarie and follow the signs. The carpark can be found on Apsley Falls Rd with a few different sections to park depending on the walk you want to do and where you want to start.

Route/Trail notes

The Oxley Walk branches off the Gorge Rim Walk and crosses the Apsley River footbridge. The walk continues around the north side of the gorge offering magnificent views of the main falls and the lower falls from four lookout platforms.

Definitely recommend this walk! It is easy, not very far & offers fantastic views. There is a footbridge to cross along the way. The views of the waterfalls were amazing. The falls were epic after the recent rainfall, with a super bright rainbow to top it off!
