Getting there:

 Head south out of Tenterfield on the New England Highway and turn right at the Settlers Motor Inn down Douglas Street. At the end of the road turn left and then immediately right along Mount Mackenzie Road, which twists and turns before you take a left onto Gum Flat Road and left again in Mount Mackenzie Lookout Road where there is a small parking area at the end at the lookout.
