A great morning walk, not too difficult. I started at first light and there were already people there. Saw loads of wildlife - wallabies, lyre birds etc. Would 100% recommend continuing on the Bare Rock track if you have time. Was pretty muddy in parts and there was an icy wind towards the top.

The sphinx was awesome! The massive rocks are spectacular, but very slippery when wet.

Did this walk on the return trip from Turtle rock. Unbelievable views! Definitely, a must-do.

Like a few others, I read the comments on here and still missed the tree. Thanks to some passerbyers I reached the end. It was definitely worth it! The climb along the rocks is the biggest challenge but takes you to a great view.

Steep but great climb. Mosquito repellent is essential. They will eat you alive.

My favourite non-summit walk in Queensland!

The views driving up past Maleny we’re amazing! I thought the walk was pretty easy, aside from climbing the stairs up going back to the car park - not too hard just made me a little puffed. After reading the comments I also added the Flat rock trail to my walk and was definitely worth it! A little more challenging and more of a rough path but I loved it. There’s a really nice quiet place on the river to stop and have a snack.

On my way back on the Kondalilla circuit I took a swim at the bottom of the waterfall. It was such a memorable experience and the waterfall was breathtaking 100% recommend.

I tried to get to the car park super early as I heard it gets busy quite quickly, and lucky I did as when I got back the car park was full!

We are in Queensland and couldn't do the track that starts in NSW because of the closed borders. Started at the track beginning at Cougal Cascades Carpark. Once you pass the sawmill DO NOT keep following the river as we did. You have to cross the river and follow up the path where you'll start to see orange or pink ribbons that will lead you the whole way up. Should take about 2.5 hours. If you follow the river it will take you 6 hours and lots of cuts, poisonous plants and steep climbs. VERY easy to get lost. If I'm being honest though this way treated us to a number of nice waterfalls.
