Best Of All Lookout (Springbrook National Park)

A lovely short stroll. Misty and spooky through the trees. Considering it was so warm on the Coast it was a bit chilly up there.
I'm sure it is a beautiful view ...if you weren't in a cloud. Oh well next time.
Kings Canyon Rim Walk (Watarrka National Park)

WOW. What an amazing walk. The views and the rock formations are just sensational. I wasn't expecting much especially after coming from Uluru and Kata Tjuta but was incredibly surprised. Well worth the initial climb (which I thought would be much harder). It is a long walk and towards the end I thought it would never end but probably because by this time we had run out of water. Definitely not one that you would want to start late and in the warm weather. Even in the cooler months take LOTS of water, its windy up the top which dries you out as well.

Loved this walk, loved Launceston. I could live here and do this as a run every morning.

Unrelenting up for 2 hours,.... then unrelenting down for 2 hours.
A great view from the top but not one of my favourite walks. One of those walks that I've ticked off the list rather than enjoyed.
Burraga Swamp Track (Barrington Tops National Park)

Often did this walk when staying at the old Barrington Guest House (sadly now gone). The swamp is cool, I remember jumping up and down on the springy peat. Tons of ferns and huge trees ... oh and leeches and nettles. :-)
