Booloumba Falls
(Queensland)Walk through tall open forest and discover this scenic creek's cascades, waterfalls and rock pools.<br /><br />At the junction of Peters and Booloumba creeks view The Breadknife rock formation.<br /><br />Swim in the pool at the base of the falls, wow ! beautiful cool mountain water on a hot summers day.<br /><br />Just a tip - Check for leaches when you get dressed again.<br /><br />4WD access along Booloumba Creek Road after turning off Maleny - Kenilworth Rd, pretty easy 4WD with just a couple of creek crossings.<br /><br />The GPS co-ordinates are only approximate.

Permits/Costs
Access to the National Park is free.
Camping fees are $5.30 per person per night or $21.30 per family per night. A family group is up to two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of eight people. Children under five are free.

Did it for my birthday, had a picnic lunch at the day use area, you can swim there too.Lovely clear water on a river gravel bed, very shady amongst all the trees.
Easy drive up to the parking area for the walk to the falls.
Did it with my girl and the 3 kids, 11, 13 & 15 and they all jumped in to the very cool water at the pool.
