Route/Trail notes

The path begins with many steps, ascending to 5 minutes short of the Wineglass Bay lookout, climbing the saddle between Mt Amos and Mt Mayson.  It then descends via many more stairs to Wineglass Bay.  From there, follow the track across the isthmus to Hazards Beach.  This part of the track is fairly level, and includes some sandy sections.  Then follow the beach towards the right until you reach the rocks at the other end.  Walk up onto the rocks, and you should soon see the track entrance that will take you back to the start.  The track is fairly easy to follow, and involves sandy and rocky sections.  It passes a number of small bays along the way.

Great short walk
Recommend walking clockwise 🍷 bay to hazard beach as you don’t have to walk up 1000 uneven stairs and also best for bio security.
Clean toilets located at 🍷 bay

Definitely best done clockwise. Absolutely stunning walk with such diverse scenery. Very easy walk

Hazards Beach was the highlight for me on this walk. All to myself, near perfect colours of the sand/ water, lots of interesting shells all over the beach. Take your time while doing this section!

What a wonderful hike! Starting with a climb up to Wineglass Bay for gorgeous views then a gozillion stairs down to Wineglass beach. Walking through the isthmus was really interesting for the vegetation then reaching Hazard’s Beach was a welcome sight with beautiful views & plenty of ocean breezes. We loved walking along Hazard’s beach but the walk back to the Carpark is long and hot. The loop is a great way to see a variety of flora and fauna but make sure you have snacks, plenty of water and a good hat.

Great views of Wineglass Bay and the surrounding area. We could hear birds but could not see them! Make sure you wear appropriate shoes and take adequate water. It was lovely to walk along the beach. A nice walk overall.

This was a great coastal walk. While this track is longer than returning from Wineglass Bay via the same route, it is much easier due to the large number of steps that need to be ascended on the way back. Though the path should be easy to follow, we did lose it at one point by following a path it looked like others had taken. We soon found ourselves wondering which way to go next - a sure sign that we were off the track. We retraced ourselves and were surprised at how clear the real track was. We must have stepped over a branch that should have said "This is not the way".
