Wild May Lagoon Trail

Karawatha Forest

A short walk in Karawatha Forest which follows a fire trail and passes some lagoons.
Picnic tables at taps at start of trail

Getting there

This walk begins at the Stretton Recreational Reserve.  The car park is on the bend of Illaweena St, Drewvale.  Follow the fire trail until you reach the sign post for the Hakea Track.  From this sign, turn back and look towards what was the left, but now should be on your right.  You should find a rough bush track that will take you on a loop which re-joins the track you came in on.  The track is quite flat and easy to navigate, though it,s narrow in parts.  You will pass the lagoons on your way.  Note that the car park closes at 6pm

Comments

Lots of little lagoons dotting this trail. Very flat - would be worth doing the loop with Hakea etc instead

We walked this track late afternoon. We didn't really know what we were looking for when we reached the Hakea Track but if you realise that it's not a fire trail and it's not marked you should be fine. The bush track was a bit wet.
