Sandy Creek Circuit

Tamborine National Park

This walk features lush rainforest with towering trees emerging through the canopy and at the falls, eucalypt forest. It follows Sandy Creek out to the western lookout of Cameron Falls, where on a clear day you can enjoy views across the valley to Mount Flinders and the southern suburbs of Brisbane.

This Track travels close to steep cliff edges, so stay on the designated track and behind the fences.

The falls are aligned such that under the correct conditions a rainbow will appear. It has been seen in the afternoon in late July.

Easy and accessible for kids.

Steve and I had a lovely time staying at the modest and lovely motel next to St. Bernards Hotel. On this circuit we saw Alberts Lyre Birds. Very exciting.

nice walk. not the best view of Cameron Falls ,probably better after some rain. good view of surrounding area (but not the falls) from the lookout near the carpark. some steps and a few steep bits on the way back. lots of bird calls. nice area with chairs and tables at beginning of walk.

Wonderful short walk. View is nice, You can see the waterfall from the view point, but it's no the greatest angle. Overall just the rainforest and bird life are great the way it is. The view from the park facilities I believe sees all the way out to Brisbane.

Very easy, stunning walk. We decided to do this walk after a nice BBQ lunch at the picnic area at the end of Knoll Road. I was dressed in jeans and sneakers - that aren't really designed for walking. The walk was stunning and would be great for all ages and abilities.

Helpful panorama map with mountain peak names at lookout next to trail head.

Falls are looking great after the recent rains. Saw some beautiful orchids in flower on the rocks near the falls. Nice easy walk that is bang for buck. Look out fir the secret bower birds nest at the start of the walk.

Perfect time to visit after all the rain we've had recently, the creek is flowing and the rainforest is alive with all sorts of birds and animals and plantlife. The waterfall is stunning. Definitely recommend going after its been raining.

I went there with my two kids. It’s quite easy. But the waterfall was a bit disappointing. We need more rain

Have been doing this walk for 20 years and still love it every single time. Easy walk for those starting out their bushwalking adventures. You can also climb out to the edge of the waterfall if you're feeling a little more adventurous ! :)

Did this walk on the weekend. Well worth it! Quite easy and excellent walk. Top of carpark has nice picnic area and great views of the valley below. The track leads down to the bottom of the gully where the circuit starts (we went clockwise) don’t think there’s any advantage either way. The track follows the creek and eventually moves away as you approach the 90m Cameron Falls lookout side track to the left. The track to the lookout and the falls is slightly overgrown mostly grass. The return track follows the other bank of the creek and generally follows a higher line above the creek
