Route/Trail notes:

The track from the car park is well defined and at each junction is marked with an information board, so that you can re-orientate yourself and decide which track to take.

Note that (2015) the two viewing platforms (one of Jenyns Falls) are closed for safety reason, as the cliff edge is very steep and fragile.

There is also the lesser walk of 2.6km around Palm Grove Circuit.

Lots of leeches. Beautiful rainforest. One of the plank bridges has fallen down on the far side of the circuit so keep an eye out.

So many pademelons

A pleasant walk, would happily go again. Saw several pademelons and bush turkeys. Almost had the track to ourselves, only met one other couple along the way. I was 6 months pregnant at the time, so it got a bit tiring at the end, but that gives you an idea of what fitness level you need to walk this one.

great walk, saw 4 pademelons.

Saw a lyrebird for the first time. Day made.

A nice little track to do. Easy to follow. A couple a breaks through the trees to see the view. Only saw a couple people along the way. We did this one clockwise and nothing to steep. This is a good walk for kids to do but as with any of these types of locations, be aware there can be snakes. We only saw one Lace monitor along the way and no snakes on this occasion

Nice walk through a diverse rainforest, was quite amazed when it just randomly changed to eucalypt trees. Some water was flowing around the creeks near Jenyns falls, but didn't see the waterfall itself.

A picturesque walk that ticks many boxes. We liked the extensive piccabeen grove, fruiting black beans and a few interesting buttressed trees and strangler figs. Walked it shortly after good rain-an added bonus. Access from Curtis Rd is a bit longer but more scenic in my view.

Easy hour-ish walk with the kids past a few lovely, mossy rock falls, out into the open bush for 5 minutes then back into the rainforest.

Gorgeous forest walk, fairly easy to do - took us about 1.5hrs (maybe bit longer) with a 5 and 7yr old. No viewpoints really, but the forest makes up for it! Well signed and easy track, only saw 2-3 other walkers. Loved how the forest changed from tropical to Eucalypt. Cicadas we’re giving their best chorus! Will definitely do it again.

An enjoyable little walk, we did this with our 8 and 9 year olds and 90 minutes is spot on.
While this track doesn't have any waterfalls or spectacular views, the trees are simply stunning and if you love trees, you'll really appreciate this little gem. Even the kids were impressed!
Keep an eye out for pademelons, lizards and bush turkeys. Being late afternoon when we did this walk, there was a loud chorus of cicadas too. Also heard a number of kookaburras, a green catbird, and numerous other birds that I wasn't able to identify.
Beautiful spot! Nice and quiet, didn't bump into anyone else at all. It may be one of the less popular walks it seems, but that's okay with me!

Beautiful, easy trail.

This is a lovely walk, so beautiful and not as popular as other walks in the Tamborine area. Despite being right before Christmas and on the weekend there wasn't another person on this walk which was really lovely.

National Parks have renamed this walk to Jenyns Circuit as the side tracks to the falls and another lookout have been closed and I anticipate they probably wont be reopening as the comments from previously in this post looks like they have been closed for some time. That said quite an easy walk although today it was misty and damp under foot. Saw Bush Turkeys, A small Wallaby and plenty of birds. The not so nice wildlife was the couple of leeches I picked up but I guess you should expect that on a day like it was. Perhaps the title of the walk should change as there are no falls to see.

did this walk.

A nice walk but the side tracks to Jenyn's Falls and the lookout have been closed off (appears to have been that way for a long time). A bit disappointing. Besides this the rainforest sections and strangler figs were impressive.

rob.bushman on 2 Oct, 2016

portion of the walk to the lookout remains closed

JoshF on 20 Aug, 2016

Enjoyed this walk. There are some really nice buttresses along the way as well as lovely picabean forest. The side track to the lookout over the falls is still closed though.

We walked this track after a night of thunder storms and it was interesting to note how the upper area was so wet and slippery, yet the lower area was completely dry. The buttressed tree were different to elsewhere on Mount Tamborine, as if needing them to cling the eastern mountain side.
Lots of bird and animal life around, with a face to face with a huge goanna a highlight.
