Route/Trail notes:

The track starts through a gate to the east of the car park. Follow the bitumen track until it takes a sharp right hand turn to the lake lookout. Proceed straight ahead on the now sandy track to the T junction. Take a right (signposted Beach Track) and follow the track to the beach at access 253, before returning to the T junction and following the right hand track (signposted To Entrance). After 150m turn left (signposted Heath Circuit Trail) that returns you to the bitumen track just 100m from the start.

Permits/Costs:

None.

Other References/Comments:

Remain on the tracks provided, as there are 'warning signs' concerning unexploded ordinance ammunitions from military training exercises around WWII.

Comments

I have walk through to the beach before, but not completed the whole circuit. At this time of year there was plenty of bird life.

Just had a walk there this morning , checking out the lake for kayaking , nice but too close to those pesky humans .....you know what I mean ;-)

This was quite a nice walk. However we actually started at the cafe on the other side of Currimundi Lake, walked right around the lake (including the Heath Track), and then all the way to Point Cartright along the beach. We then returned back along the Coastal pathway as far as it went and then back onto the beach to continued the way we came. In all about 25km and a half hours. Good walk.
