Other References/Comments:

The grassed area at Bulcock Beach is a popular evening spot to have a glass in your hand and enjoy the sunset over the Glass House Mountains in the distance. There are numerous points along the way for a swim or to grab a coffee. Old Surf Shacks nestle alongside multimillion style apartments, which add to the fun, as osprey sour overhead and in season whales play offshore.

As with all the sections of SCCP, you can do them in either direction, role one or more together, or get someone to drop you off and pick you up further along the track.

There are numerous points along the way for a swim, grab a coffee or a bite to eat. Take your dog for a swim, but check the beach entry points for any restrictions.

Comments

Walked from the end at the mouth of Bells Creek through to Currimundi today, lunch at the cafe and then an Uber back. It was a beautiful day with a soft breeze and an amazing blue sky. There are a few short hills on this section to get up on the headland but easily done.

Coastal (urban)walk at its best. Enjoyed especially the many rock platforms close to Bulcock Beach and the more secluded Shelley Beach.

On ANZAC Day 2016, we did our own Walking Wounded charity walk of 42.2km from Pelican Waters to Cotton Tree along the then Sunshine Coast Coastal Pathway (SCCP). It took us twelve hours (including stops for coffee and lunch) and we had blisters on blisters.
So now (2019/20), is an opportunity to break the walk down into smaller easier achievable sections that everyone can enjoy, including walking sections along the beaches and will likely extent beyond Cotton Tree and include new pathways that have been created in the last three years.
This section from Caloundra's Bulcock Beach to Moffat Beach (likely to be called Section 3) I have done a number of time, but today, I chartered it correctly and enjoyed taking in the splendid ocean views across to Bribie and Moreton Islands.

Enjoyable walk. We started south of Bulcock Beach and walked to Moffat Beach and back. The first half of the walk was relatively busy and flat. The second half was quieter but hilly.
