Did the full circurt , some bog holes to navigate not hard. Nice and close to home. Good bird life and some nice wild flowers out on show.

Getting there:

Take the Buderim/University exit off the Sunshine Motorway. Turn left into Dixon Road and onto Claymore Road. Follow this to the end, where there is a parking area and entrance to the trail.

Route/Trail notes:

The trail is well defined and follows a course north across a small creek and onto he heath plain to Kawana Way and back. In wet weather, the plains will be muddy and the creek full.

Other References/Comments:

You can extend your walk by doing a full circuit by turning right onto the Littoralis Trail, then down along Kawana way to pick up the Melaleuca Trail, back onto the Aemula Trail that intersect the Boronia and back to your start. A total of 8.5km.

Good flat walk. Would be nice in winter as more than 50 Percent of the section doesn't have shades.

Walked the full circurt , a few bog holes to navigate , not hard . Good amount of bird life and some nice wild flowers out on show .

Did the full circuit, a bit over 8km. About half the distance is low scrub so fully exposed to sun, so take water and a hat in hot weather. Not spectacular scenery but a pleasant walk.

It was a very boggy walk today bu still a lovely place to be. It must be beautiful when the wildflowers are in bloom

Close to home (and Anaconda!), this is an area we had not previously visited. Originally described as 'wheelchair friendly', it was obviously not, unless you had sand tyres: (I have changed it to 'Easy'). There are very few highlights, except for the occasional goanna, but a good trail for a bit of exercise. There was also a sign for the Robur Fire Trail at the start, but not investigated, but presume that it follows the edge of the NP to the river?

Great walk for wildlife kids loved it although not so much the knee deep water crossing.

We really enjoyed the open plain. It was covered with what looked like something similar to small grass trees all with spikes. It was a really hot day, but the breeze over the flat plains made it cooler there than among the trees.
