Elanora Wetlands

Gold Coast

Elanora Wetlands Habitat is a Gold Coast City Council (GCCC) reserve in the upstream estuarine reaches of Tallebudgera Creek. Adjacent to tidal wetlands, a scenic walking track follows the perimeter of the Water Quality Control Centre (WQCC). There are excellent views of mangroves and saltmarsh vegetation along the track where they form a thin fringe along the creek.

Comments

The hardest part of this walk is finding a parking spot. Once found, it is a lovely casual walk along a short trail. Signage was reasonable and it did get a little smelly near the end, but not too bad.

Did this as part of a longer walk through to Burleigh. Good circuit and very local.

A bit smelly from the treatment plant but it's not too bad. Apparently a good spot for birding but didn't see many due to the time of the day.
