Mount Mia

Wide Bay Burnett

Located in Wrattens State Forest . Nice quite hike as none venture out here often I say.

Eucalypt Forest
600m
Maximum Elevation
200m
Total Climb

Getting there

About 1km out of Kilkaven turn left onto Black Snake Road. Follow for about 10km and keep eye on spotting the State Forest sign on right hand side. Park car where you can and simple follow the trail.  Be aware there are ( or were when I found this track) heaps and heaps of roos on Black Snake Rd.

Route/Trail notes

Trail follows a fence from neighbouring farmer and is accessable via 4wd. You get some real nice views along the way of the valley below and if lucky ( as I was ) spot a deer.

Comments

The 4WD track takes you all the way to the top of the mountain some great views along the way.

Trail is hard to find, its approx 15km in rather than the 10km advised. There is a 4x4 track most of the way so if you have a 4wd you can drive most of it. We didn't walk all the way as ran out of time so will have to go back some time. Deff lots of wild life on the roads so be careful.
