Getting there

Starting from Dunwich, travel east on Alfred Martin Way past the Brown Lake turnoff and the golf course until you reach the car park on the right hand side of the road.

The track is easy to follow. No map is required. There is an information board at the start of the walk which shows the different walks available in the area.

Route/Trail notes

The walk is quite exposed and on soft sand so it is best walked in early morning or late afternoon. In the middle of the day it can be quite hot. Make sure to carry drinking water.

The lake is a place of significant cultural value to the Quandamooka people and they request that visitors respect that significance by not swimming in the lake.

There is no cost for this walk.

If you get the opportunity to go, don’t hesitate, you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy.
