Route/Trail notes

The walk is initally through low lying open fields with a creek winding through it. There are several creek crossings to negotiate and by the end of the walk you finish in a vine-filled, moss-covered rainforest. Very quick change of scenery.

Permits/Costs

None, but permit to camp required.

Comments

This was an interesting walk with frequent terrain changes to keep the kids interested. We took a LONG time on the way out (2.5hrs) stopping to look at every rock, tree and bug, but picked up the pace on the way back and only took 1hr back to the car. Creek crossings were safe/passable without getting our feet wet, but there were a few slippery rocks after it rained lightly. Would definitely do this again. Best spot along the track is the little waterfall/waterhole, but there's a nice rainforest section near the end for variety (no big climax at the end though).

Track was very slippery and wet due to the rain, was well over grown in parts, amazing walk and scenery! Loved it up until the point I slipped over in a creek crossing, fracturing my tail bone, will be a walk I complete again though

A lovely walk which has a few little streams to cross and a few hills to walk up/down. A nice mix of open grass land and rainforest. Keep eyes peeled as we saw a red belly black and there is no reception if you get into trouble.

The track was well marked and only took 1 hour 40

A nice easy walk 50 mins each way along Darylmple creek. Good to check out if you're in the area doing the other walks but not as good as Cascades circuit.

Undulating hills through varying types of bush/rainforest. Great for a trail run although it may be difficult after long periods of rain without having to get your feet wet. Bell birds are abundant in this area.
