Hello Community, I am writing this message as I would like to see Killarney Glen open to the public again. I am looking for a few people who could assist me in writing letters to members of parliament so we can finally see our beloved Killarney Glen open again. If you would like two assist in this process you can contact me on facebook. We can then chat further. It would also be great to get in touch spongy.

Kind Regards
Patrick McEwan

I don't agree with the government closing this or any of the other beautiful walks where tragedies have happened. Nobody wants tragedy but it is a part of life. Experiencing beautiful places like this is also a beautiful part of life and people should not be deprived of this. Instead safety measures such as clear warning signs should be put up and any dangerous areas like cliffs etc fenced off. But closing these places off from the public is wrong.

I don't think there is a more awesome spot on the coast then this!!

This hike is inaccessible. Track closed and gates locked (see photos).

Track is sill closed - the fence is locked and there’s a sign up saying all access to Lip Falls and the creek is closed.

Did it twice in quick succession cos when I arrived back at the car I realised the keys were still hanging on that handy little bunch beside the water 🙄 Gorgeous place, don't understand the no swimming signs. The water is beautiful, with a little care you won't brain yourself on the rocks (they can be slippy :) Lots of little trails to explore, old station camp buildings, pretty forest and a very friendly white duck! It's a steep but short trek and well worth it. I'm not very fit and twice didn't destroy me - just go gently. All the best.

Check out the love heart pool and waterfall. Note the military uses this area so sometimes the track may be closed.

The walk is steep in some areas. Some of the slopes contain loose dirt and rocks so extra care needs to be taken. The signage at the glen states swimming and diving are NOT allowed. There were a lot of people disobeying this signage which is disappointing. I envision the walk will be closed soon as someone is bound to eventually injure themselves severely.

Loved this little hike.....it's quite a steep descent to get down there. It's too bad the swimming hole is at the bottom - you want another swim on the return.
I didn't do the jump - the water was really low so far too dangerous. You can walk down to the bottom and swim in the creek without jumping. It's a very refreshing temperature but a lovely setting!
