Glasshouse Mountains walking tracks information

Route/Trail notes

At the Beerburrum trailhead take the Soldier Settlers' shared trail past the cemetery and continue until the track branches off to the alternate walkers/cyclists trail. Take this alternate, and again when the track splits take the walkers track. The trail rejoins the shared trail heading west. When the Soldier Settlers' reaches the Trachyte junction go right onto the Trachyte. Follow this trail across two fire management trails until you reach a fork in the track. To do the full Tibrogargan loop go left, and at the next fork go right. Continue around Tibrogargan, and at the next fork go right again (you are now repeating the first section). At the next fork go left to detour to the Tibrogargan trailhead for lunch and a toilet break. Head back along this trail and turn right to join the Trachyte circuit on the west side. Continue until you reach the sign for the Jack Ferris lookout 100m on your left and detour to enjoy the view. Return to the Trachyte and continue until the junction with the end of the Yul-yan-man track. If you are feeling tired, keep going along the Trachyte and turn right onto the Soldier Settlers' to return to the Beerburrum trailhead. If you feel good, challenge yourself with the Yul-yan-man in reverse. Make sure you still have plenty of water as this track gets hot (see the Yul-yan-man track notes on this site). When you finish the Yul-yan-man track, follow the 1km easy trail back to the Beerburrum trailhead. If you skip the Yul-yan-man this circuit can be downgraded to easy, but adding the YYT definitely increases the difficulty.

Today was my forth time around in the last three weeks. Just love this hike. Need good shoes and plenty of water and snacks. Always stop at the local coffee shop at Beerburrum once I’ve crossed the Yul Yan man track for a coffee and snack before setting off again on the return trails.

Really enjoyed this longer variation taking in the four trails. The YYT at the end was much harder than doing it from the trailhead, fresh. You could do this walk in reverse to make it easier too.
