Girraween NP is situated approximately 260km by road south-west of Brisbane. To reach the park, turn off the New England Highway 26km south of Stanthorpe or 30km north of Tenterfield onto Pyramids Road. The winding bitumen road continues a further 9km east through the Wyberba Valley to the park's Information Centre and day use picnic area.

With so many bushwalking options in the park, why not take advantage of the excellent camping facilities at Bald Rock Creek or Castle Rock.

Very nice photogenic walk, kids liked it, especially playing in the river on the way back.

Easy walk with young children, with lots of mini rock faces to climb, hollow trees to hide in & outcrops/rock passages to explore. Wattles are out in radiant splashes of yellow all along the path.

Awesome walk for a short, afternoon walk. Very nice!

Completed the Northern circuit walks today. Started out towards the Pyramid. My husband wasn’t keen so I went on alone but after getting a third of the way up the last rock face I decided it wasn’t for me. I have made the summit many years ago and didn’t enjoy it. It’s not the height but the severe fear of falling backwards that takes away all enjoyment on these types of rock faces. Very achievable physically for moderate fitness though. The walk to the Junction and remainder of the bald creek circuit is stunning and highly recommended. Easy walking and just amazing scenery.

Impressive rock sculpture! Easy to include with another walk.

Very easy walk, gently uphill. If you only have an hour or so this is a beautiful option. Plenty of beautiful rock formations and creeks flowing.

Wonderful stroll on a winter day. Track is well maintained and at junctions there are posts indicating which track leads in what direction. If your keen on some extra distance, continue on through to the junction for a bigger loop.

Early morning climb of The Pyramid for sunset and did the Granite Arch on the way down.

Great easy walk, loved the variety of native plants and of course the granite boulders.
Was really busy as it was a public holiday, glad we got there fairly early.

Super easy walk.

A nice walk which I did on the way back from climbing the Pyramid. The granite arch is worth the short 2 min walk from the Pyramid path.

Very easy warm-up stroll on our way up to The Pyramid! Lots of great rock formations on the way to the Arch too for people of all ages to climb on. Gorgeous wattle-strewn understory and creaky gum trees. The pea flowers are absolutely going off rn too, purples and orange-yellows everywhere 🍊🍇
A definite must do. Minimum effort and still quite fun :)

such a beautiful area, definitely visiting again.

We did this walk in the afternoon. The signage on the first part of the track is not well signed. It was an easy walk to Granite Arch on our way to The Pyramid.

Great easy detour on the way to the Pryamid or on your way back.

Tanya on 19 May, 2019

Detoured to the Arch after descending from the Pyramid Rock. Nice walk!
