Crystal cascades is popular freshwater swimming hole surrounded by a tropical rainforest, it has a series of small waterfalls that flow into large pools, This short easy walk takes you to popular swimming holes and with a waterfall at the last swimming hole

Getting there

From Cairns go north along Sheridan Street and turn left at James Street. Continue along this road to the roundabout staying in the right hand lane and turn right onto the Cairns Western Arterial and then left on Redlynch Connection Road. You need to stay in the left lane as you approach the roundabout following the Redlynch Intake road all the way to Crystal Cascades.

Route/Trail notes

The entry to the waterholes is from the public car park with a 1.2 kilometre well maintained pathwaywith a slight gradient. Swimmimg holes are visible for the full length of the creek
