Getting there:

Take the Eumundi Noosa Road off the Bruce Highway (Exit 224) and head east towards Noosa. 500m after the second Eumundi roundabout, turn right into Seib Road and left after 1.7km into Verrierdale Forest Road. 400m along this gravel road is the park gates and a small area to leave your vehicle.

Route/Trail notes:

Recommend that you print off a copy of the Park map to help you. Travel straight in from the gate for 400m, to the 'junction' of all the walks. Signposted from here, turn left and then straight on out to the Eumundi Road Gate (next to the Breakers Yard). Return initially by the same route, but then take the left fork down and around the old cattle yards and dam. You rejoin the original track, turning left back to the 'junction' and right to the entrance gate.

Permits/Costs:

None.

Other References/Comments:

This area has a rich history of timber milling and cattle grazing, having been the boundary of three massive cattle runs: Canando, Yandina and North Kenilworth. Judging by the size of many of the remaining trees, I guess some conservation and regeneration was in the minds of the loggers.

A great track for beginner hikers. If you add the Geebung circuit you will get some steep declines to test your stability.

Great afternoon walk.

A great walk not far from a main road. No noisy people...just a couple of horse riders. We did this one as part of a larger circuit and added the Geebung Circuit & the Figbird Trail which was a total of 8.3km. The Figbird Trail was the better one.

Enjoyed this track - peaceful, great landscape and birdlife. Wear proper walking shoes as the ground can be uneven with stones, sticks and gullies.

Two down, two to go in this quiet Conservation Park, over a couple of visits. Only ever met three people; one walking; one on a bike and another on a skate board. Actually did this walk twice, as I somehow managed to take a short cut the first time.

Did all 3 walks today. Easy walking however tracks are poorly maintained and lack effective signage.

A nice undulating walk past a few interesting features. The path was deserted on a week day. Add it to the Fig Bird and Geebung trails for a loop of about 8km.

We stopped at the dam for a rest. Such a peaceful place. We really enjoyed the walk.

Did this walk in combination with all the others , spending a good 3.30 hrs in this park. Nice wide trail to walk on , did some across some mountain bike riders and signs of horse riders too. Quite easy , just a couple mild hills , love the difference of scenery ...rainforest ...ironbark trees ....gumtrees...etc etc
